As human beings, we’ve been given the incredible ability to create great things, to make progress, and to elevate the lives of others on this planet.
I believe that no matter where we are right now, we can hold on to this truth: our past doesn’t have to dictate our future. Tomorrow can always be better than today. That’s what people are capable of—especially when they find inspiration in powerful ideas or extraordinary individuals.
Through entrepreneurship, I’ve had the chance to meet countless fascinating people, learn about their goals and visions, and witness the creation of unique stories. What defines us, distinguishes us, or connects us as people is our mindset.
In other words, it’s the set of beliefs or attitudes that shape how we interpret situations and how we respond to them. In my view, they have an enormous impact on the direction our lives take.
Mindset?
I reflected on the beliefs that form my current mindset while building dabl., its values, and its culture. And I also thought about the attitudes I want to carry with me on my journey:
Mindset #1: The road will be tough—but it will be worth it.
Mindset #2: The bigger the dream, the more important it is to have an exceptional team.
Mindset #3: Luck favors the prepared.
Mindset #4: The winner is the one who creates the greatest value for others.
Mindset #5: To achieve extraordinary results, you need extraordinary thoughts and habits.
Mindset #6: Failure is an illusion created in our minds. Successful people either achieve results or receive feedback. Not reaching results isn’t failure—it’s an opportunity to improve.
Mindset #7: We learn every day, as long as we’re alive. Life will keep reminding us of the lessons we haven’t yet understood and will hold up a mirror to show us what we still need to learn.
Mindset #8: Rules are meant to be broken. Those who challenge conventions and think differently are the people who change the world.
Bonus #9: Gratitude—or the attitude of gratitude. Building a conscious habit of expressing gratitude for both the small and big things in life brings us closer to humility—the quality that elevates the greatest people in the world.
